À PROPOS DE SOFIA

Four months after opening our new Cutting Department in Solo, we are already seeing strong progress and positive impact on our production workflow. The department currently operates with four cutting tables and a team of six dedicated cutting specialists, supplying cut pieces to support 124 sewing operators.

The Cutting Department was created to strengthen our overall efficiency and ensure smoother production. Its key objectives include:

  • Ensuring timely preparation of cut pieces to maintain consistent daily sewing output.

  • Improving coordination and alignment between Store Preparation, Cutting, and Sewing teams.

  • Reducing production delays by having cutting capacity directly available in Solo.

  • Enhancing quality control through precise cutting and proper fabric handling.

  • Increasing overall production efficiency and reducing reliance on the cutting unit in Bali.

  • Responding more quickly to urgent or high-priority orders.

  • Preparing for future scaling as our sewing capacity continues to grow.

While printed fabrics are not yet processed in the Java area, finished fabrics are currently sent from Bali, with a transit time of 1–2 days. At this stage, fabric shipments are scheduled twice per week.

Below are pictures and a video offering a closer look at the department in action.
